The security and protection of your personal data is a top priority for IBAÏA Real Estate. In full transparency, we are informing you of a security incident that occurred with our booking software partner.
1. What Happened?
A cybersecurity incident occurred on October 8 and 9, 2026 at Avantio, the specialized software platform we use to manage our guest bookings and stays. A system vulnerability was exploited by an unauthorized third party and was definitively patched by Avantio on October 9.
Our own internal agency servers and systems were not compromised.
2. What Data May Have Been Accessed?
Because Avantio cannot determine with complete certainty which individual booking records were accessed, we are applying a strict precautionary approach: we consider that the information related to your file may have been viewed if you have stayed, booked, or requested a quote with IBAÏA Real Estate.
- Data potentially affected: First name, last name, phone number, email address, language, age range, and details of your stay (dates and accommodation).
- Data NOT affected: No credit card numbers, no financial data, and no passwords were exposed.
3. What Are the Potential Risks and Scam Attempts?
These contact and booking details could potentially be used by scammers to send highly convincing fraudulent messages (phishing via email, SMS, or WhatsApp). Please remain extremely vigilant regarding the following scenarios:
- Fake refund or deposit return: A message claiming to refund you money and asking for your bank details or credit card number;
- “Loyalty” reward or special discount: A message prompting you to click an external link to claim a voucher or prize;
- Fake payment or settlement request: A message claiming unpaid fees regarding a past or upcoming reservation.
4. Recommended Security Best Practices
- Do not click on suspicious links received via SMS, email, or messaging apps (WhatsApp, etc.).
- Never share your banking information or security codes via text message or in reply to an email.
- Check the sender’s email address: Our official communications come exclusively from the
@ibaia-immobilier.comdomain. - When in doubt: Contact our team directly before taking any action.
